The amazing tale of poopers and the doodle

...the doodle being Otis. Obviously.

We've really started working on the evening routine thing with baby girl. She gets her bath usually between 8:15 and 8:30. Leading up to bath time is (drum roll, please) NAKED TIME. We undress the munchkin and plop her down in the living room floor on a blanket and let her play while her bottom airs out. There's an added bonus of getting to watch her little naked buns.

So far, naked time has been great. No accidents in the floor. Enter last evening.

I was frantically trying to get the kitchen and the kitchen sink ready for her bath while M was working on something in the office (what were you doing??). All of a sudden, there was a fairly panicked cry from the living room, "Sweetie." As I turned the corner in to the living room, M has baby girl pinned with one arm and the dog in a headlock with the other arm.

"We've got poop and a dog."

Awesome. S had a fairly major amount of poopage in a puddle that she was doing airplanes in. It was also running down her leg. I took over the girl while M tried to figure out if Otis was also covered in poop. It was quite the adventure, and all I could do was giggle at how happy S was. She was grinning and cooing and completely thrilled with herself and all of the attention. I'm telling you, having a baby is the world's greatest entertainment.

OH! She also sleeps in her crib now. That's pretty major around here. I'll give a thorough update later. For now, the girl calls.

Happy Monday.

Oh my gosh, that's crazy!! I feel as though boys often disappear for unexplained reasons at the exact moment you are working hard :)

Glad you were able to find the humor in it though! And PS - babies take baths in the sink??? Good thing we're still a few years away, I have time to learn such things ;)
