jinx

I try not to jinx myself by expecting things to turn out a certain way. I honestly think that too much and specific expectation leads to a lot of unnecessary misery. So, I'm trying not to jinx myself by hoping that S and I will have days that look like this in the future. I can imagine few things more fabulous than spending a day with S, sketching in a lovely and quiet place.

A girl can dream, right?

Also, I think it's official: Thanksgiving 2 is expanding beyond the Boston area. I'm pretty sure there will be deliciousness happening in DC this weekend as the Toddler Tamers visit the Feathernesters... I am so crazy excited about the mere idea of Caramel Pecan Pie. I can barely contain myself. Of course, turkey sounds pretty fantastic, too.

I'm wondering how many years it will take me to remember that when you write "DC" it does not refer to the nation's capital, but rather to your COUNTY. It spins me off onto mental tangets that go something like this: "They're going to DC?!! Why are they going there?? That's so random?!! I've never heard of them planning to go there. But they're going as a two-family trip, so I guess it's really important to them. Hmmmmm.... so strange. Are the Ouiser's going too?? Weird. .... Wait a minute..."

Confuses me every time! :)

If only one thing I do EVER, catches on, I'm happy it's Thanksgiving 2.

That pie sounds divine!

Now I want to do Thanksgiving 2! Instead, I'll be at a B&B celebrating my birthday with DH. Maybe I'll order pecan pie for dessert to join in.

Scarlet, I didn't even realize DC was the county name until you mentioned it. I, too, vaguely wondered why the hell everyone was going to Washington.
